Designer Nigel Cabourn is one of the fathers of the scene, he has been making luxury utilitarian clothing since the 1970s, long before it was in vogue. His clothes range from ultra limited edition garments made from long forgotten patterns and materials, to more affordable high street offerings. His latest heritage range has just launched in stores, and included in it are patterns based on his own legendary personal collection of clothing dating from the first half of the 20th century.
Stand out pieces include the Everest Parka, a super rare replica of a jacket used by Sir Edmund Hilary during his ascent of Mount Everest, and the Irvine Rucksack Parka, a classic explorer style jacket with an interesting built in rucksack and hood feature. Its completely unique, although sadly with a price-tag to match!
