Illustrious sub design brand Nike Sportswear have gone somewhat back to basics with this latest preview of their Fall/Winter 2010 collection. The collection features many monotone colour choices and classic silhouettes, with Nike choosing to place emphasis on technology – a balancing effect to the flamboyant design and advertising campaign which Nike has run in the build-up to this years FIFA World Cup.

Coaches Jackets and sweatshirts continue this heritage feel, whilst ‘new’ features such as hidden pockets allow storage space for the ‘modern athlete’. With typically dramatic use of graphic prints throughout the collection, it is inevitable that pieces will be used interchangeably with purely streetwear focussed brands, a fact which has developed Nike into one of the most powerful players in contemporary fashion.
