The dog days of summer are already upon us, and there’s no letting up here at Outlier HQ. Inspired by the desert environs of Spiral Jetty, we’ve concocted a range of Outlier Summer Experiments to keep you cool in those rising temperatures. As always with our Experimental drops, these are hyper-limited runs of pieces we’ve been playing with in the lab. Ideas that we’ve developed and iterated to the point where we want to set a few loose into the wild and see how they evolve.
Ventilated Linen Cotton Shirt: Let it all in. A ventilated back and extended placket sleeves combined with a sturdy open weave Linen/Cotton blend fabric to keep you cool in more ways than one. Gusseted half kimono sleeve, box pleat front pockets, and banded collar keep you stylish in the summer sun.
Playboy Pants: The ideal pants for summer lounging. These full leg pants are the result of applying a shirt sleeve cuff and placket to a pair of pants to keep to keep things as breezy as shorts. Made from our Ultralight material, they’re so light you’ll have to make sure you have them on before leaving the house. An oversized hook and bar clasp with smoked mother of pearl buttons keeps them up and the drawstring lets you make them just right.
High Desert Pivot: Just when you thought a shirt couldn’t get any cooler. Wears like linen but washes up like cotton. A soft hand feel and open weave keeps you looking good and feeling dry for all hot weather adventures.
Summer Scarf: A beach party appropriate scarf. This little rhomboid packs a shady punch when the sun starts threatening to ruin your fun. Linen’s dry hand and open weave make it the ideal fiber for the job.
