Red Wing returns to its roots and opens a new store on Main Street in Red Wing, Minnesota, across the street from their corporate headquarters. The store will create “a home for the history of our company and a means for the public to learn more about our brands and our company.” Stated Dan Murphy, president and COO of Red Wing. The store will act as a collective space for each of the company’s brands: Vasque, Irish Setter, Red Wing, Carhartt and WORX.
Along with the store, which opens on August 3rd, a Red Wing museum will be built into the store featuring fun themes like the company’s history, a children’s movie, and the world’s largest boot. Stillwater, Minnesota SALA architects built the store while complying by strict guidelines due to the district’s historical designation. The store front is etched with work scenes from Red Wing’s history. Murphy is excited about the possibilities of the new store, “The new store will generate a lot of visitors — and hopefully a lot of business — for the Red Wing community.”
