First introduced in 1998, the Nike Air Bakin basketball shoe is making a welcome return. When the shoe first was released, the design caused controversy with the “Air” text on the heel reassembling the word “Allah” in Arabic. This prompted the Arabic community in America to force Nike to withdrawal the sneakers from the shelves, which did Nike a ton of financial damage. With the Nike Air Bakin making a long overdue return on April 5 at stores like Undefeated, we assume the “Air” on the heel will probably feature a new font.
