Skating can be a real struggle in NYC, but the Rotten Apple is known for sprouting some talented seeds. Keith Hufnagel is one of them. As a born-and-bred NY skate rat with a penchant for being in the streets, Keith wasn’t given much opportunity to turn his skate obsession into currency in the congested streets of Downtown NYC. While he honed his skate skills and street smarts in the city that never sleeps, Keith had to take his talents to San Fran to pursue a skateboarding career and eventually start HUF, the skate lifestyle brand that has cornered the market on dope socks (literally). Everyone and their mother have hopped onto the “weed sock” bandwagon, but HUF has been putting out all sorts of quality product for more than a decade.

As someone who is plugged in on multiple coasts, and in in a mix of streetwear and skate cultures, Huf has a plethora of resources to choose from when it comes to collaborative efforts. Him being a really cool guy and very well liked within the industry doesn’t hurt either. Huf has paired his talents with a hefty list of cosigners including sneaker companies, artists, and of course skate brands . Nike, Reebok, adidas, Diamond and most recently Blondie (yes, the new wave band) are just some of the co-conspirators that Huf has teamed with over the years. This old dog has shown us a lot of new tricks, on and off of four wheels.
