Eastpak is set to release their second collaborative effort with Nicomede Talavera entitled “Between Surface and Depth.” Conventional forms give way to what designer Nicomede describes as our fetish for customization. Seen as a collection consisting of backpack, duffel, hybrid pack, and tech wallet each piece is mean’t to be seen as a blank canvas almost provoking its wearer to embellish its minimal and refined shell. The thoughts and concepts put into the execution of the collection may not be fully on display upon first glance, but if anything the collaboration provides stunning examples of functionality meets form.
