Episode no. by Japanese designer Makoto Yoshida introduces its SS14 collection, the latest in the brand’s ongoing count-down series. Since it’s formation in 2010, the conceptual label has counted down 10 episodes, with each episode consisting of 4 seasons. For the forthcoming season, the brand expresses a thoroughly psychedelic vibe, with clashing patterns and prints worn under similarly interesting lightweight knits. The construction of these pieces explore intricate techniques and luxury natural fabrics, putting quality and craft at the forefront. While a collection like this isn’t going to be to everyone’s taste, you’ve got to applaud labels like Episode no. for coming from a unique perspective time and time again.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to go find Makoto’s dealer, because I want to start doing whatever drugs he’s doing to come up with this kind of stuff.
