About Eric White
Eric White was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States. Mr. White attended Rhode Island School of Design and stayed in San Francisco for 10 year before he moved to Brooklyn, New York City. While his stay in San Francisco, he started working on illustrations for a magazine called Mondo 2000 and getting a lot of celebrity caricature work, which opened up a doorway for his later tremendous development. In Los Angeles, Mr. White met La Luz De Jesus Gallery’s owner, Billy Shire, who invited him to have a solo exhibition at his first time. Gradually, Mr. White was smoothly transitioning from illustration into painting.
Mr. White’s work tries to interpret realities and dimensions that are far beyond our perceptions. His paintings unconsciously express a metaphysical angle that Mr. White personally is very interested in. Mr. White’s work constantly mirrors different focuses and exposures of photographs, which produces complicated environments and impeccable craftsmanship. His solo show has been toured around the US and some European countries including the show at Earl McGrath Gallery in 2004, and the Wonderland Show in Paris with Mark Ryden, Marion Peck, and the Clayton Brothers.
