Mountain boots have been hugely popular in recent seasons, having seen already a number of labels produce their own versions, most of them however abides to the vintage nature of the original silhouette and sticks to ultilizing the more traditional materials like tan leather and vibram soles. Kazuki Kuraishi of Fragment on the otherhand takes on a more technical approach for his latest work on the hiker in his Originals by Originals collection. Adopting the use of a more running-friendly sole coupled with a nice balance of premium material and fine detailling like the use of D-rings on the laces and a mesh pattern on the midsole makes this a very impressive release indeed.
