Following Michael Jordan’s initial retirement in 1993, Nike created a fictional character called Johnny Kilroy to help endorse the Air Jordan IX in an effort to replace Jordan as the face of the iconic sneaker. Having already released a commemorative edition of the Air Jordan IX “Johnny Kilroy,” here is a new edition with this “Motorboat Jones” design set to release on December 1. Highlighted by a tonal red nubuck upper with minimal use of black accenting the red this makes for an exciting release.
