Bernhard Willhelm Spring/Summer 2010 Collection
In true Bernhard Willhelm style, their Men’s spring/summer 2010 collection was everything we expected; loud in design, extreme in cut and confident in colour. Today we walked through a maze into the Palais de la Bourse where we entered a high ceiling room with extraordinary chandeliers and embellishments. A complete contrast to the set of the show; a cloth covered un-even surface with paintings propped on top of easels and piles of opened books. The models, adorned in elaborate black wigs (two models of which were joined at the wig), masks of long straw coming out from their faces and down to their knees and glad wrapped helmets, walked to their podium until taking their places to get to work on their paintings and sheep skin covers. The collection saw army trench coats, animal print bomber jackets paired with shorts, and yellow Aztec inspired togas. Our photos say more than I can explain, it was extreme and inspiring. Congrats to Bernard and the team behind the show. Hope the lady who fainted at the end is OK!? See our coverage here.
