Dries Van Noten unveiled his Spring/summer 2010 collection this week as Paris fashion week gets underway. The Belgian designer once again adopts the use of ethnic colors and eccentric fabric patterns (a signature combination for Van Noten), as well as a variety of unique textiles said to be sourced from six different countries. The collection includes a mix of classic clean cut pieces like trenchcoats, shirts and blazers. A very understated, poetic and refined collection composed of timeless designs that is perhaps a reflection of Van Noten’s dislike for the six-month lifespan of many seasonal fashion products. Certainly an impressive collection overall as expected from the Antwerp six designer.
