Peter Hillary and Jamling Tenzing Norgay have customized their own collection Rolex Explorers watches to great effect. Not affiliated to Rolex in any way, the sons of famed mountaineers Sir Edmund and Tenzing, the first human to have toppled Mt. Everest, have applied their own critique to the watches that include the 36mm HTE based on the Oyster Perpetual worn on the initial trek up Mt. Everest. The HTE 39mm commemorates a bridging of generations Sir Edmund Hillary and son as Peter arrive at the summit of Everest. Completing the design is the HTE 42mm, the latest Explorer II that celebrates the retracing of their father’s careers. The collection is limited to 88 editions and packaged alongside several custom-made items in a handmade expedition crate.
