Eyewear Manufacturer Illesteva New York have captured the imagination of the fashion loving public with their 1950′s Havana inspired Spring/Summer Collection.

This Frieda model perhaps encapsulates the theory behind a brand which seeks ‘style’ over trend.  Oval frames go against more expected style patterns such as the huge aviator market, whilst colour choices reflect the tropical – an image which again juxtaposes Illesteva against the ‘street’ eyewear of today.  With a limited amount of  brands ‘tapping’ into the early explorer inspiration market this season – namely Kenzo and to a lesser extent Adam Kimmel through his collaboration with Selima – Illesteva are raising their own stature, a move which could prove pivotal in their ability to compete with the more high-profile and classic names of the eyewear market.
