Kim Jones for Bean Pole Fall/Winter 2011 Collection

Bean Pole, South Korea’s largest clothing brand founded in 1989, has collaborated for the second time with designer Kim Jones for Autumn/Winter 2011. Available in the United States for the first time exclusively at Opening Ceremony, the menswear collection includes a full line of shirting, pants, knits, and outerwear ranging in price from $150-700. The line is available today, August 11, 2011.
Combining youthful proportions with a traditional color palette was important to the designer in order to appeal to both the traditional Bean Pole customer and yet a more fashionably led consumer. The graphics were inspired by one of Jones’ favorite artists, Ed Ruscha, and the prints include some of his favorite species, such as the raccoon dog.
The third Bean Pole x Kim Jones collaboration will be for the Spring/Summer 2012 season and will be available at Barneys and Opening Ceremony nationwide.
