Its hard sometimes to be impressed when you hear of collaborations these days, in an ironic way this site was even named after the phenomenon, but this has me really excited. Not only involving some amazing partners in Kris Van Assche, Wallpaper* and Maurice Lacroix, the project is also in aid of UNICEF Japan. Named the “Rough Conviction”, the watch is basedon Maurice Lacroix’s Pontos Décentrique GMT, Van Assche, shows he not only the world’s best shoe designer(in my opinion) but also a dab hand at watches by incorporating a yellow gold and hand painted details, Rhodium hands and a hybrid stainless steel and calfskin strap. The 1-of-a-kind watch is available now on live auction at Antiquorum Auctioneers until June 22.
