Reinterpreting his classic athletic shoe, Margiela has released a new version that is like none before. For his Fall/Winter 2009 collection we see these velvet sneakers. The whole upper of the shoes is completely covered in velvet; from the laces, the mid sole and the outer sole, with a seamless finish, they actually look as if someone has sprayed them in fabric!
