Miharayasuhiro Spring/Summer 2010 Collection

One of the designers that we look forward to every season is Mihara Yasuhiro. A poet with textiles, this season Miharayasuhiro compiled a collection around the story of The Little Prince and the life of its author, Antoine de Saint-Exupery. The collection includes a variety of formal suit pieces like blazer jackets and vests alongside drapy military-inspired jackets and boots. All executed in khaki, earth-tone colours (expressing the feel of the stories of Saint-Exupéry’s experience in the Sahara) offset by very dark deep colors that depict the depth of space and Saint-Exupéry’s stories about the exploration of the stars. An outstanding collection that has a sort of dark and melancholic feel to it mixed with a sense of child-like curiousity. Take a look below.
