Nathan Clark RIP

Nathan Clark, the great-grandson of James Clark, who co-founded the Quaker footwear company in 1825, passed away last month at the age of 94. Clark, responsible for the iconic desert boot that has been worn by the likes of Steve McQueen and Liam Gallagher to the man next to you at the crossing. The Clarks design is derived from the lace-up ankle boots worn by desert fighters in Burma during World War II. Having seen the timeless design reinterpreted by numerous labels from all over the world including Opening Ceremony to Pierre Hardy. Nathan Clark is a true legend, and will be sorely missed so every time you lace up your Clarks take a moment to remember the man who helped reinvented footwear.
