Purple Boutique | Olympia Le-Tan's First Purple Bag

Just opened online is a new section for Parisian ‘Purple’ magazine’s Purple Diary; Purple Boutique. Starting off by offering an exclusive line of products designed by the Purple team’s friends, the first product on offer is Olympia Le-Tan’s Purple Bag. This minaudière was especially designed for Purple and is part of a series of Books You Can’t Read made by Olympia Le-Tan. It was entirely handmade in France. The felt appliqué and silk thread embroidery was inspired by the cover of John Wyllie’s 1950s novel Johnny Purple (the story of a Royal Air Force squadron stationed in Sumatra in the forties). It is lined with liberty print and mounted on a brass frame. Each piece numbered on the back consisting of a small number of only sixteen!
One for the girls, no doubt, but I am excited to see what new products hit the online shelves of Purple Boutique.
