Raf Simon is renown for his exploration of the future and often brought aspects of how he imagined it would be like into his menswear collections. But for Spring/Summer 2010 the Raf Simons boy has grown up, matured and now appreciates immaculately tailored suits teamed with equally impressive leather coats. There were still aspects of experimentation in the collection and came in the form of hybrid pieces like the knit top with a single-vented cloth back. Another key feature in this collection was the use of snakes, both in prints and belts that wrapped around models to suggest this reptilian creature. The modern “high-fashion man” is who they are after and this is how the designer sees him.
