Rick Owens continues to thrive from his own bold design ethos, while largely conceptual, function is witnessed largely through the materials and fabrications applied. The  Rick Owens Fall/Winter 2013 Collection makes for another strong instalment with black and white a large part of the line, if it could be any other pairing. While layering and strong outerwear are a mainstay the aesthetic could almost be summed up as a futuristic snowman, or in more relevant terms, I think of the snow battle in Empire Strikes Back.
