Australian brand Rittenhouse doesn’t always get the attention some other contemporary brands are afforded, but they have been quietly impressing many with their garments over the last few years.  Their Spring/Summer 2010 collection will hopefully change that with a range that includes selvedge denim, striped tops, summer jackets, colourful swimshorts and tailored suits in a style described by Rittenhouse as “a very Australian take on sharp mod casual”.  I’m a big fan of their easy to wear, smart/casual look and this range sees them take a welcome step towards the smarter end of that spectrum whilst retaining many quirky details including sea shell and knotted leather buttons, hand embroidery and prints based on children’s painting and daisies.
