Engineered Garments continue their line of footwear collaborations, this time with Trickers. The English shoe company who is seeing a huge resurgence in popularity, mainly off the back of its Junya Watanabe collaborations over the past few seasons, and the pending heritage trend in mens fashion. Collaborations work when the brands see a genuine fit, this is an ideal example of why. Engineered garments personal touch on the shoes, is in keeping with Trickers own style and philosophy. The use of pebbled leather, the wing tip style and the mix of brown and black – all features that offer nothing innovative, but merely add value to the look and feel of a classic shoe.
Trickers has been around for since 1829, making it a genuine heritage brand who has never changed their philosophy throughout all that time, still manufactured by hand in Northampton, their goodyear welted soles have inspired a whole new era of footwear manufacturing to this day.
While Engineered Garments is much newer than Trickers, in the short time the brand has been around, its designer, Daiki Suzuki, has gained some sort of cult following for being a leader in recreating classics and engineering the heritage philosophy’s for today. Already in its short history, Suzuki has created staple pieces which will become classics just like Trickers, its only fitting these two brands work together.
Unfortunately though, it seems the collaboration is only available at Japanese EG stockists.
