Italian fashion house Missoni is known for their playful patterns. They chose this versatile zig-zag pattern from their Fall/Winter 2009-2010 collection to use on their collaboration with Converse. Personally, I like the colors that they used for the pattern for F/W but these colors are decidedly more Spring time appropriate. Angela Missoni, the creative director chose this classic silhouette because “It’s mythical to me; [it’s] the one that girls and boys of all times have liked to wear and is still the coolest today.”

The Missoni for Converse Chuck Taylors will be available in April at the NY and Beverly Hills Missoni boutiques. Also at Jeffrey and other select boutiques worldwide. $200 Retail

This is an odd colab. Missoni is an acquired taste, and best delivered in very small doses IMO. I'm struggling to see who these would appeal to.

Girls will go mad for them, the Missoni patterns look great on dresses. Some guys will too – IMHO Missoni works best bringing a bit of colour to a dark or more formal outfit and these would be great for that.

I think the interesting thing about any Converse collaboration is that there are people out there who will buy them regardless of who designed them. I can see where you are coming from and I'm sure there is someone out there who loves these, lol.
