For Fall/Winter 2012, French menswear specialists theNextdoor have collaborated with American shirt makers Gitman Vintage on a classic capsule collection of shirts. To mark the release, the pair have also produced a short film, directed by Romain Quirot. Stylistically inspired by the French New Wave movement and thematically, perhaps by Lorca’s Blood Wedding, the film showcases the new collection which consists of three shirts – including one in a flecked Japanese fabric that is exclusive to the collection. The shirts are constructed according to Gitman’s signature fit, with additional details created by theNextdoor. The capsule will be available soon in-store and online.
