Hedi’s Slimane’s comeback at the helm of the newly rechristened Saint Laurent has been widely lauded as a resounding success. Debuting his Spring 2013 Women’s Ready-to-Wear line at the Grand Palais in Paris last night, Slimane clearly reaffirmed that he is still at the forefront of fashion design in the world at the moment, and that the French house is in safe hands. Channeling a rock-chick/gothic-edged aesthetic that may well have been inspired by his time in Los Angeles during his hiatus from the fashion world, the designer seduced his audience (and the world wide web) with bare-edged and dark femininity. Check out a few images from the show in the gallery above and head to style.com for the whole show. We cannot wait to see what he does in the Men’s department.
