With its roots in surf and skate, New Zealand’s Huffer has been looking to progress beyond its action sports background over the last few seasons, consistently presenting a more refined and, perhaps, mature, approach to streetwear. The influence of newly-apppointed head designer Sam Hickey is evident, with designs becoming more relevant to current streetwear trends over the last couple of seasons. The brand’s Autumn/Winter 2013 campaign, entitled Uphill Battles, sees Huffer continue to embrace the outdoors, employing an understated aesthetic seen in clean outerwear, classic button-downs and fitted chinos, all with a sense of freedom conveyed through a lookbook shot by Ryan Kenny and styled by Zara Mirkin in NZ’s Southern alps.
