With the ZX Flux model seeing a huge global rollout in the last couple of months, adidas Originals has made a strong case for new silhouette of the year (or at least SS14.) Lightweight and stripped back to the bare ZX essentials, (three stripes, heel cage and Torsion bar), the Flux is perfectly poised for summer wear – and adidas Originals have made sure anyone can rock it, releasing it in practically every color/print combination you can imagine.

The brand recently caught up with some few familiar faces from the sneaker world to hear their thoughts on the new arrival, as well as the legacy the iconic ZX line has after 25 years on the feet of sneaker aficionados. First up is London-based sneaker head Robert Brooks, who talks about the energy surrounding the shoe, and the clash of classic and contemporary present in its design.
