Are they for safety? Are they for style? Are they simply a throwback to the days of light-up sole sneakers from LA Gear that every single kid wanted in 1994? It’s definitely unclear, but the swooshes on the Nike Snowboarding LunarENDOR QS are filled with 30 LED lights.
Besides this aesthetic innovation/weird choice, Nike’s also added some actual useful technology to the new boots, mainly the addition of Lunarlon foam to help absorb impact and improve handling. There’s also a “customizable flex line system” that provides three different levels of stiffness for use in different kinds of snow. Lastly, they’ll keep your feet warm, thanks to a reinforced liner and shell.
Come mid-December, they’ll be available in limited quantities on Nike’s webstore and Nike SB retailers.
