Markus Lupfer has taken unusual inspiration from the garden shed for his S/S’13 collection which sees the brand explore and refine its signature codes of knitwear, print and silhouette. Prints are certainly prominent here – beetles and toolbox components including nuts, bolts and bicycle chains are sprinkled and stacked geometrically across t-shirts, sweaters and shorts – but it is the outerwear that has really grabbed our attention this season; a lot more refined graphically in contrast to the garments worn beneath, we see both black and vibrant blue used to full effect in jackets and anoraks that take a minimal approach and stand out for their simplicity.
