Marni has long been an established fashion house, but more recently we have seen the label come of age with a strong direction that has been appreciated more over. For the Marni Spring/Summer 2014 Collection we see the use of traditional garments met with the typically astute approach of Marni with a more progressive nature defining the line. Combining deep shades of navy and green with an abundance of white and the contribution from illustrator and typographer Katja Schwalenberg goes along with to making a strong aesthetic. While the suiting is a staple of the label, a more avant-garde element is seen with the use of capes, in addition detailing such as strong zippers and heavy pockets assists the layered look.
