Photography has been in the blood of Martha Cooper ever since getting her first Kodak Brownie camera as a young child. This infactuation turned into work for the likes of National Geographic Magazine and the New York Post before travelling the world and capturing cultures far and wide. Her fyears came during the 70’s when her well documented work of the New York Graffiti scene enjoyed high acclaim. All this work has culminated in an impressive fifty year retrospective dating back to 1958 with the exhibition opening on Thursday April 17 at Studio Apart, Prinsengracht 715, Asmterdam and running until May 8.
