Following World War II, Max Pittion followed in his fathers footsteps and began working in manufacturing of celluloid eyeglasses in the family factory, Pittion Lunetterie before taking over the business and taking it to all new heights in the 1950’s. If making eyewear for the likes of Lanvin and Azzaro wasn’t enough Max became the President of the ”Chamber Syndicale de la Lunetterie” the eyeglasses manufacturing union and went on in 1967 to be one of the founding members of the “Salon International de la Lunetterie,” SILMO, testimony to his passion for eyewear and the industry.

Having retired in 1981 before passing away four years ago it was only a matter of time until the void left from Pittion would be filled and up step John Mayer who worked tirelessly to get the rights to the brand. Created and Distributed with an Independent Rebel Spirit in the LIGHT Co. Ltd., MAX PITTION will live on as a  eyewear brand crafted to a high degree of excellence and of the unique design line originally created by Max himself. The iconic “Politician” is being release in 2 sizes along with a round cat “Shelby” and a squashed Boston shape called “Newell”. All styles are being crafted in black, dark tortoise, black fade and purple fade with 10K Gold rivets.
