With Tokyo Fashion Week in full swing, one of the first names to make an impact with their show is MR GENTLEMAN. Having evolved and grown in an incredibly short time period, the Fall/Winter 2014 collection showcases further progression from the Japanese label. Designers Yuichi Yoshii and Takeshi Osumi have taken inspiration from very traditional elements like hunting and military and improvised to create something unique and great. The most notable pieces are jackets, like an MA-1 finished with a suit jacket lapel, and coats with down finishing applied like a vest. The color palette focuses on darker shades, with navy, olive, brown and black being key, but there is also good use of lighter tones, like yellow and white. Look out for the release of the MR GENTLEMAN Fall/Winter 2014 Collection, with Contemporary Fix as the key stockist.
