Didn’t we literally just tell you October was NEIGHBORHOOD’s month? As if we needed further proof, the Japanese brand has unveiled its new footwear collaboration with Converse, updating two classic styles whilst managing to retain a sense of subtlety that is often thrown by the wayside in collabs with the sportswear giant. The collection sees NEIGHBORHOOD revisit the classic Chuck Taylor and Jack Purcell High silhouettes, dressing them in Royal Blue suede and Black leather, respectively, with a strip of weaved leather applied to the heels of both. The All Star Chuck, based on the ’70s model, notably loses its traditional rand stripe, while the Jack Purcell retains its signature toe-smile. Branding on the tongue, heel, footbed and metal lace tips seals the deal. The collection will be available from select retailers this Friday, 25 October. (via)
