André Saraiva and filmmaker Aaron Rose have partnered to create New York La La La, a new cinematic fashion short for L’Officiel Hommes. Capturing pro skaters Jerry Hsu, Austyn Gillette, and Josh Harmony at Paramount Studios in outifts by Dior Homme, Saint Laurent, and Prada, the film then introduces a trio of lingerie-clad models – a scene which might not be far removed from an ’80s Duran Duran music video (the band provides the soundtrack with “The Chauffeur”.) Talking to NOWNESS, on the subject of collaborating with Saraiva, Rose says “We share a similar evolutionary process as creators, so it was natural to work together. We were shooting two elements simultaneously, this film and a photo editorial. André would be shooting photos, then all of a sudden, he would hand me the stills camera. It was a wonderfully creative ping-pong volley.” Check out the short film above.
