Following the unveiling of Roundel‘s debut collection last week, the freshly minted London-centric brand bears exciting news: a collaborative Air Max release with Nike. Right off the bat, the brand releases it’s own take on both the Nike Air Max 1 and Air Max 90, applying the classic District Line print fabric to Nike’s newest technology: engineered woven Jacquard. The pattern is a familiar sight for London’s tube and bus commuters, and now covers the sneaker’s one-piece woven uppers, which updates the fit and feel of the classic Nike Air Max silhouettes without compromising the iconic lines. Roundel‘s logo sits on the tongue, while Nike Air branding is applied to the usual spots ‘pon de side and heel.
The first 150 pairs will drop exclusively at a Piccadilly Circus station pop-up kiosk space at 6am on Saturday December 14th, in celebration of Transport For London’s 150th anniversary.
