Nike’s Takeover Of A Building In London Continues With “Risk Your Sole”, Where Sneakerheads Compete Artistically Online (And For Points In An Actual Football Match)

We’ve already mentioned that the upstairs of London’s Sorting Office is set to become a football-inspired Nike SB pop-up skatepark next week, but the action doesn’t stop there – not by a long shot. Nike’s “Phenomenal House” is a full-scale takeover of the building for a week, beginning Monday 26th May, which celebrates the risks that people take to achieve greatness in football. With a slew of epic events planned for the week, we’re most excited about “Risk Your Sole” – a competition that pits sneaker aficionados and retailers against each other in a high-stakes battle of football and sneakers. The UK’s top sneaker retailers, including Size?, Offspring, Niketown, 1948, Footpatrol and more, are going head to head – initially online, where the public can vote on their sneaker collections, before heading to a 5-a-side football pitch at the Sorting Office, to see who can actually back it all up with on-field skills. It’s a crazy idea, but a good one.

You can vote on the sneaker collections here, as well as register to attend the tournament if you’re in the UK.
