For the latest oki-ni Styled installation, Glenn Kitson showcasing a mix of technical outerwear, checked shirting, raw denim and classic footwear. Brutalist architecture compliments the styling; with pieces from contemporary labels like kolor, Nonnative, Stone Island Shadow and Folk referencing 80’s Britain while firmly looking forward. Part of a very formidable autumn/winter 2010 collection available online at oki-ni this makes for another compelling piece of work.

“Glenn Kitson grew up in Gtr. Manchester and began his career selling vintage clothing, travelling Europe in pursuit of rare items specialising in sports and casual wear. Glenn’s background and recent pedigree working with the likes of 6876 and Penfield alongside his own Rig Out publication offers up an honest viewpoint of ‘fashion’.

In his own words … “Whenever I take on board a job I try and make it as natural as possible, while I understand the concept of fashion for fashion’s sake, I don’t really like anything too contrived. It’s not about finding the lowest common denominator either. It’s just got to feel right.”
