Opening Ceremony keeps pumping out the projects for its 10th anniversary – the latest of which has just been announced as a collectible fashion and culture magazine titled, OC Annual, to be released this August. Founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim have stated each issue will center on a theme, with the debut publication focused on the world of sports – honoring the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Having already lined up renowned photographers Bruce Weber, Walter Pfeiffer, Todd Cole and Tim Barber for the issue, Lim mentioned, “As magazine fanatics, O.C. founder Humberto Leon and myself are aiming to create a collectible publication for a new generation, something beautiful and special in the vein of Benetton’s ‘Colors,’ Comme des Garçons’ ‘Six’ and Joe McKenna’s ‘Joe.’ We want to make a magazine that will appeal to kids in Nebraska as much as industry people.” Only 30,000 copies of the August issue will be published – we’ll keep you posted with additional release info.
