Joy Division were a very strong influence on society during their short existence and had a very good impact on the arts, and this was celebrated with the film Control which was directed Anton Corbijn which payed homage to the band and legendary Ian Curtis. Paul Smith joined the celebrations and designed a collection of tees which were released in Tokyo at the release party of the film at the Paul Smith Gallery. Along with the tees an array of impressive stills from the movie were on exhibition, and one imparticular piece that catches the eye is a big print of Ian Curtis which Anton took in 1980.
