Tenue de Nîmes spent the last 5 years building their brand and planting the seeds for success, and their latest project with Red Wings Shoes sees them finally reaping the rewards. Coinciding with the release of the Journal de Nîmes fifth anniversary issue is the release of the limited edition, hand-dyed, natural indigo Red Wing Shoes boot. During a visit to Kojima in May 2013, the Tenue de Nîmes team asked the craftsmen at the Japanese factory in Rampuya whether it would be possible to dip-dye leather shoes. The Amsterdammers provided them with five pairs of the Red Wing Moc, made from natural rough-out leather, to work with. The Rampuya team then dyed the boots with different compositions of natural and artificial indigo, and the Tenue de Nîmes team chose dark natural indigo, because of its diverse shades of blue and natural appearance. Stock of these boots will be limited to fifty pairs, and will available exclusively at Tenue de Nîmes Haarlemmerstraat store in Amsterdam.
