Italian clothing company Slam Jam announces SOCIALISM, its new retail identity and lifestyle shopping destination. To better reflect its growing profile of international customers as its core business continues to expand, Slam Jam relaunches online as SOCIALISM (www.slamjamsocialism.com). The company will retail an international mix of progressive mens and womenswear, streetwear and accessories, plus music, books, fragrances and other handpicked lifestyle items.

Slam Jam partnered with The Official Manufacturing. Co., (OMFG Co.) a leading creative agency firm based in Portland, Oregon, USA, to help select the name, along with a fresh visual identity and tagline. The result – SOCIALISM: it’s for the greater good. The name change also helps to better express the company’s unique approach to service, with a collaborative, personal appeal to their fashion-forward and informed clientele. “The strength of the name is found in the hidden, double meaning of the word… in that this retail location is literally Slam Jam’s social presence in the world,” says Jeremy Pelley, OMFG Co. founder.

In addition to original editorial content and the online store, SOCIALISM will also replicate the boutique experience, taking special care to assist their clients in a personal way. “We consider SOCIALISM to be your online street shop, where we aim to establish a very familiar connection with each client,” adds Giovanni De Marchi, Slam Jam marketing director.

SOCIALISM offers fashion and lifestyle goods from an ever-evolving mix of niche and mainline brands including: Visvim, Supreme, Carhartt, Nike Sportswear, Stussy, Forfex, Kenzo, Nanamica, Acne, MSGM, Undercover, Sacai, Maison Martin Margiela, Junya Watanabe, Alexander Wang. With a strong emphasis on exclusive product collaborations and limited-edition items – the selection available online at SOCIALISM remains largely influenced by the art, music and cultural roots of SLAM JAM, its original brick & mortar store located in Ferrara, Italy.
