The partnership between Vans Vault and Japanese designer Taka Hayashi has produced an ever-expanding line-up of boundary-pushing, original silhouettes since they first began working together. The latest collaborative joint from the two forces is the TH Derby Trek LX, which arrives in two colourways – both of which receive a premium Horween leather treatment on the upper. The silhouette is based on a traditional derby model but is given a modern makeover – significantly, becoming sportier – sitting on a lugged rubber sole. Multicouloured threaded laces and metal eyelets are a nod towards trekking styles, while the supple leather used on the interior maintains that comfort is paramount. The shoes will hit Vans Vault stockists this August.
