Here is a fascinating project between pioneering superflat artist Takashi Murakami and Japanese watchmaker Hajime Asaoka. Creating this “Death Takes No Bribe” custom watch, the outcome of the tourbillion movement watch is defining with production taking over three years. Featuring flower and skull imagery in Murakami’s trademark style, the design is fun and dark at the same time with the craftsmanship something to behold. Asaoka will unveil the timepiece at the Academie Horlogere des Createurs Independants’ (AHCI) 2013 watch fair in Basel, Switzerland.
