Topman Design just upped its game with its Autumn/Winter 2013 collection. Offering an updated and youthful take on classic designs – as Topman is known to do – the updates are seen in modern, slouchy silhouettes and the classic is realised through references to a distinct ’30s/’40s Englishness, manifested in this season’s theme of “early gentleman explorer”. Tibetan prints? Check. Cropped, cream parkas and bright orange peacoats? Check, check. Add in slim slacks and sensible knits and I’m feeling this collection.
