Vanity Fair’s 100th Anniversary Issue featuring Kate Upton as Marilyn Monroe
With one of the worlds most famous publications Vanity Fair celebrating a century of issues it is unsurprising one of worlds most famous models Kate Upton has been featured on the cover. While comparisons with Marilyn Monroe are unavoidable, this shot of Upton adorning a flesh-colored bathing suit bears a striking comparison to Monroe while striking a pose similar to the iconic image when she performed Happy Birthday for President John F. Kennedy in 1962. If you go inside the magazine, Upton is featured in a variety of ways derived from the very first issue of Dress & Vanity Fair, first released on October 1, 1913. You will be able to get your hands on a copy of Vanity Fair’s 100th Anniversary Issue at newstands in New York and Los Angeles from September 5, while it will be available electronically on September 10.
