The Y-3 Fall/Winter 2012 Collection showcases another customary, yet impressive installation by Japanese designer Yoshji Yamamoto for adidas. Having enjoyed just over a decade of the successful relationship we continue to see the two thrive of each other with Yamamoto embellishing on his recognizable work and incorporating the philosophy of the giant sportswear maker.

With the Y-3 line continuing to move on strong into its second decade here is a design that represents the more innovative approach from Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto. Aptly entitled the Black Savage, the design combines some elements we have seen from adidas with the lace lock and tongue overlaps with a more futuristic approach to a trekking design. In addition the combination of black and white further accented by red and blue, the balance is strong.

With the return of the adidas Consortium line a sign of great things to come following the news of the Tabula Rasa collection, here is a look at another great piece for the spring/summer 2012 season. The Munich silhouette has been reworked in defining fashion with the addition of some premium detailing to the otherwise classic design. Dating back to 1979 and named after the Bavarian capital, the combination of a blue suede and mesh upper is well accented by a premium leather tongue and lining.
